The VOICE Refugee Forum - Appeal to Refugee Communities for Solidarity Network in Germany and Europe

To all Refugee activists and Asylum Seekers and Migrants

We are calling on refugees/Asylum seekers and Migrants to build trustworthy Communities to strengthen our solidarity against the continuous inhumane treatments in Germany and Europe. Self-organization goes beyond telling our stories and our problems to the others. It’s objective should be empowering through an independent political platform and self-determination in the refugee community with refugee activists and for the refugees.

Our primary aims and objectives are to unite in solidarity with one another without discrimination of any form, racism and sexism in the refugee community, promote Socio - cultural and political exchange; through regular meetings, discussions and events on the situation in our home countries and the situation in which we live here in Germany. By organizing related events and activities in your regions and beyond, we BREAK the state sponsored ISOLATION of Refuges in Germany.

22 years on the MOVE of The VOICE Refugee Forum as a Network of refugee Communities has taught us that UNITY is STRENGTH

Please join us in the fight for a life decided by our quest for a free society, equality and human dignity

So many of us who could manage to survive the horrors and deaths on their ways to reach the shores and borders of Europe and Germany to seek for protection and security in exile are discriminated, humiliated and abused without respect and cannot archive their wishes for a new beginning. Our dreams for freedom in dignity in Europe become a nightmare of criminalization and repression since our escapes are already criminalized before reaching the borders.

Many more refugees have been on the MOVE to nowhere, escaping wars, oppression and exploitation of refugee countries.

These Movements of refugees call for a political MOVEMENT, therefore it is time to widen our network and Communities. It is our belief in human dignity that motivates us to propose an active and independent platform of refugees to advance our unity for fundamental human rights, freedom and the well being of refugees.

We strongly believe that in solidarity with one another, we can overcome the societal and institutional obstacles to improve the inhumane experiences of being a refugee in Germany and Europe. That means: live without oppression and motivated to strengthen our self-determination and promote our human values for freedom and equality. To achieve this, we have to join in the struggle for our rights to association, education, work, freedom of movement and secure residence without deportation threats and deportation, and without separation of refugee families in Germany and against being a victim of any form of insecurity and discrimination while we continue to live here.

Our solidarity with and amongst refugees will remain the only lasting solution to reclaiming our dignity. Our political self-organization, in solidarity with all the oppressed people of the world is the grassroots base empowerment for Refugee Community Movement and Self-determination.

No Refugee is Criminal - Deportation is Collective Crime and Corruption:
In Solidarity with North African Deportees and Victims of Deportation from Germany.

No human being should be subject to discrimination because of manner of dressing, skin colour, gender, religion or sexual orientation. Crime has no nationality, ethnicity or geographical location. No refugee is criminal just because s/he is asking for asylum. Anybody, whatever the origin, with minimum honesty and ability to differentiate between subjugation and equality, would sign this sentence.

For years, if not decades, activists of The VOICE Refugee Forum and African Community Networks have been calling for the respect of the rights of refugees, especially female refugees to be respected. Discrimination, Sexual harassment, rape and deportations have always been a daily experience for some of our Refugees sisters in the hands of the Officials of the Asylum Isolation Lagers. There had been also cases involving the Police and even recorded cases in deportation Prisons but such complaints were never investigated because they were refugees.

The recent incidents in Cologne haven proven how Germany could react to such age long problem that was underplayed by the state is bring to mind great suspicion.

It is definitely because it involves a Refugee at this Stage.
The reality of this crime having existed is questionable because the Police has not been able to provide any tangible report on the issue.

We are very convinced with the fact that;

The Cologne incidents have been used by the German state to continue it’s racist policies against refugees and what are we learning from the mainstream media propaganda, fanning the fire for German and European right-wing movements to burn us all!?

The Cologne incidence as a calculated attempt to legitimate further criminalisation of all Refugees and to mobilise public interest in support of Germanys Culture of deportation and exclusion.

What role are our so-called progressive movements playing in the light of massive attack and discrimination of migrants from particular regions, against a backdrop of public hate and isolation, racial profiling and deportations through state mechanisms like the police?

We have the collective responsibility to defend women and men from any act of Harrassment and
to denounce any of such incidence.

“NO REFUGEE IS CRIMINAL!! DEPORTATION IS A COLLECTIVE CRIME AND CORRUPTION!”

We are calling on refugees/Asylum seekers and Migrants to build trustworthy Communities to strengthen our solidarity against the continuous inhumane treatments in Germany and Europe. Self-organization goes beyond telling our stories and our problems to the others. It’s objective should be empowering an independent political platform and self-determination in the refugee community with refugee activists and for the refugees.

"It is not known yet if the arrested 3 refugees actually committed the assault on any woman in Cologne. Even if they did, does it worth the worldwide scandal... this is an organized crime against refugees to propagate the daily racism, discrimination and most especially to consolidate the German deportation culture." We cannot accept it.

*Spread the Call for solidarity from the refugee networks with the North African community*

*To all refugees networks in Germany*

No women or men should be discriminated because of how he or she dresses, because of his or her skin colour, because of his or her gender or because of his or her sexual orientation.

Every person whatever his origin is, with minimum honesty and with the ability to distinguish between good and bad behaviour, would agree with this.

Crime has no nationality, as there is a criminal in every nation and no refugee is criminal just because s/he seeks asylum even though the authorities would want you believe otherwise.

First of all we want to reiterate that we are against every form of abuse, committed individually, collectively or by a state.

Following the incidents on New Years Eve in Köln and other cities, we the North Africans as refugees and migrants, and others without status strongly denounced the situation. However, in our opinion the situation has been manipulated by the authorities, the press, conservatives and right wing groups to fan anti-immigrant flames in this country. Now we find ourselves without any protection, as we are targeted and criminalized by the state and by a largely ignorant public, with the aim to deepen our stigmatization and facilitate our deportations to serve their political purpose.

The real issue that is the daily and brutal violence against women in this society is generally overlooked and swiftly swept under a concrete carpet. The domestic abuse that is meted out by German men, which is a scourge to thousands of women and children in this society and in many cases fatal, has only been met by deafening silence in the society and by the authorities. No mention is made of the violent abuse and rape that our sisters and mothers suffered on the way here and the continued abuse they are subjected to here in the Tents and ‘Heims’.

We have the profound belief that seeking asylum and international protection is a right for every human being. It cannot now be denied because majority of those seeking protection and human dignity are largely non-Europeans. However, we are now in the situation where a DENIAL is already stipulated even before we seek such protection.

We totally refuse to be the scapegoats in this saga!!!

We call on the authorities to stand up to their responsibilities by ensuring that they take all necessary measures to ensure and guarantee the safety and dignity of all refugees in this country even as the perpetrators of the New Years Eve incidents are brought to justice.

It is our belief in human dignity that motivates us to propose an active and independent platform of refugee community to advance our unity for fundamental human rights, for freedom and for the well-being of refugees.

The political self-organisation of refugees in solidarity with the oppressed is the grassroots base empowerment for Refugee Community Movement and Self-determination.

We are opportune and now have the possibility to become active in the refugee community network of The VOICE Refugee Forum in Germany. With this appeal we want to inform you of our proposal to initiate a northafricain refugee movement as we call for your support.

Our aims and objectives are to unite in solidarity with one another without any form of discrimination, racism and sexism, to promote Socio - cultural and political exchange on the situation in our home countries and the situation we live here in Germany through regular meetings and discussions and by organizing related events and activities in Thüringen, Bavaria, Hamburg, Dortmund....

We strongly believe that in solidarity with one another, we can overcome the social and institutional obstacles to improve the difficult situation of being a refugee in Germany. That means: How can we live without oppression and how can we be motivated to strengthen our self-determination and promote our human values for freedom and equality?

How do we engage in the struggle for our rights to association, education, work, secure residence without deportation threats and deportation, and against being a victim of any form of insecurity while we continue to live here?

Please join us for a life decided by our own will for freedom, equality and human dignity.

The Political Self organisation of refugees in solidarity with oppressed is the grassroots base empowerment for Refugee Community Movement

We do know that our solidarity with and amongst refugees will remain the only lasting solution to reclaiming our dignity even as refugees through our self-organisation to break the isolation, discrimination and the policies of exclusion in Germany, Europe.

We want to invite you refugees to the first preparation meeting this year to a growing refugee community with refugees and delegates from all the refugee homes and camps in Germany.
